Croquet is a lawn game, played both as a recreational pastime and as a competitive sport, which involves hitting wooden or plastic balls with a mallet through hoops embedded into the grass playing court. The game took England by storm from the 1860s onwards due to it’s ability to be played by all the family.
Come and have a go at Croquet while you are at the Bournemouth Vintage Fayre - we will have hoops, mallets and balls available for you to use so you can try your hand at a real vintage pastime!
